News & Announcements:

We’re having a birthday!
The Gibsonville Public Library first opened to the public on June 5, 1956 – that makes us 63 years old this summer!  When it opened, the library was located in the Whitesell Fuel Service office.  It was open for three hours each week and staffed by volunteers from the Gibsonville Book Club. Two years later, the residents of Gibsonville raised enough money to move the library into a larger space at 109 Piedmont Avenue.  We appreciate your continued support throughout our many changes over the years!

Summer Reading Kicks off June 15!
Participating in a summer reading program is a great way to help students avoid the “summer slide” and keep them engaged while school is out, BUT summer reading is for everyone, regardless of age! Kids, teens, and adults are all encouraged to read, explore, and have fun with us all summer long.
We’ll be downtown on Saturday, June 15 during the Gibsonville Car Show with activities and summer reading sign-up.  Find all the details about our 2019 Summer Reading program at giblib.org/summer.
