Summer Reading 2022 | June 13 – July 23
Explore Oceans of Possibilities at the library this summer! We will offer themed stories and crafts for children 5 and under, weekly activities for kids ages 6-12 as a part of our Pirate Crew, beachy art and cooking classes for teens and adults, Saturday make-and-take crafts, and a downtown treasure hunt.

Culture Fest 2022 | Saturday, June 25, 2-7 PM
Join us in downtown Gibsonville from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Saturday, June 25th, 2022 for Culture Fest! Taste the food, see the art, hear the music and learn about the cultures represented in our small but diverse and beautiful town.

Horseshoe Crab Art | Saturday, June 18, 10:00 AM
Turn a horseshoe crab exoskeleton into a work of art with the help of local artist Kay Brooks. All materials will be provided.
For teens and adults.
This class is free, but registration is required.

Bright Ideas Grant Project: Active Bodies, Active Minds!
The Library is proud to announce that we are the first public library in North Carolina to be awarded a Bright Ideas grant by the State Library of NCThis grant will allow us to bring reading materials and supplies to facilitate outdoor activities to families in neighborhoods around Gibsonville.
Watch for announcements about Book Bike visits that will include this Active Bodies, Active Minds initiative coming soon!


Programming Break: May 30 – June 10
Regular weekly programs will take a 2 week break to give library staff time to prepare for Summer Reading.  This means no storytimes, homeschool, or afterschool activities between May 30 and June 10th.

Our Large Print Collection is Growing!
To help our library users that primarily read Large Print titles, we’ve created a new section just for Large Print books.  We’re also focusing on ordering new Large Print titles as they are available.
