News & Announcements: February 18 is Gibsonville’s Birthday! Gibsonville turns 147 this month!  The first train arrived on October 9, 1855, and the post office bore the name “Gibsonville” by that time, but it wasn’t until February 18, 1871 that the state legislature issued a charter officially establishing the Town of Gibsonville.  Learn more about Gibsonville history at http://www.gibsonville.net/history.
