On Saturday August 17th, the library’s Teen Advisory Group held a carwash to benefit the Friends of the Gibsonville Library and they raised over $400!!  We were so impressed with their hard work and effort.

Friends of the Library Chalk Walk Event    
Saturday Sept 28 3-6PM at Murrell Park
The Friends of the Gibsonville Public Library’s 2nd Annual Chalk Walk Fundraiser will be September 28th from 3-6pm at Murrell Park. Cost is $10 per “sidewalk canvas”. All chalk is provided for you to create a masterpiece. This is a juried event and prizes will be awarded for each age group. You may work individually or in a group of 4 or less. Reserve your “canvas” by visiting gibsonvillefriends.com. Spaces are limited.

Chalk Lettering Class  Wednesday September 18th 6:30 – 7:30 PM
All She Wrote Notes Studio, 108 E Minneola St, Gibsonville
Want to get in a little practice before the Chalk Walk? The Friends of the Library are partnering with Maghon Taylor at the All She Wrote Notes Studio for a one of a kind Chalk Lettering Class on Wednesday, September 18th from 6:30-7:30pm. As a bonus, the cost of the ticket for this Chalk Lettering class includes a reserved sidewalk “canvas” at the Chalk Walk on Sept 28th. All She Wrote Notes is graciously donating 100% of the proceeds of this class to the Friends of the Gibsonville Library’s 2nd Annual Chalk Walk Fundraiser. Tuesday Morning Storytimes   10:00 AM
Children birth – age 5 are invited (along with their caregivers) to visit the library for story time! Share songs, stories, and activities with Miss Ashley. Storytimes will be held in the library’s community room, so space is limited. No registration is required for Tuesday morning storytimes – walk-ins and first-time visitors are welcome.

Knitting/Crochet Club
Like to knit or crochet? Want to learn? Come join the Knitting/Crochet club to get advice and share ideas with others who love knitting/crochet as much as you do. Open to all ages and skill levels. Supplies are available for anyone who doesn’t have their own.  The Knitting Club will meet this month on Thursdays September 12th & 26th, 3:30 – 5pm.

Book Club Meeting              Saturday September 7th at 12:30 PM
